Improves the quality of living and dying by addressing the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual and practical support of individuals and their loved ones coping with a life threatening illness. The focus of palliative care is to neither hasten nor postpone death but rather to make the last stages of life comfortable and peaceful. Program goals are to prevent and relieve suffering (physical, emotional, social and spiritual).  Services provided are:

  • Assessment and management of pain and other symptoms
  • Physical, emotional, social and spiritual support
  • Educational support
  • Bereavement – offers a variety of care to help understand anticipate loss and grief
