Board of Directors
The CHPCA’s Board of Directors is a volunteer Board composed of hospice palliative care workers and volunteers from Canadian provinces and territories as well as members-at-large. The CHPCA’s board consists of ten provincial representatives appointed from each of the provincial palliative care associations and a minimum of four at-large positions.
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association's national staff is located in Ottawa. The CHPCA national staff carries out the CHPCA’s day to day activities and works on achieving the CHCPA mission towards quality hospice palliative care.
The CHPCA appoints committees, each of which focuses on a particular aspect of the CHPCA’s activities. The CHPCA appoints committees of the Board, which function to carry out the work of the Board and on issues pertaining to governance of the association. The CHPCA also appoints Association Committees, which similarly carry out the functions of the Association pertaining to a specific area of interest.
