Pfizer Canada achieves Canadian Compassionate Company (CCC) designation

Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA)’s Champion’s Council is pleased to announce that Pfizer Canada has been designated a Canadian Compassionate Company (CCC). With Human Resources (HR) policies formally committed to supporting their employees in times of family distress, Pfizer Canada now stands with several companies who have qualified as a CCC.

Canadian Compassionate Companies (CCC) is a designation for Canadian employers who support their employees who have taken on the vital role of caring for a seriously ill loved one. Employers have an important role to play in supporting their employees who have taken on this role, and the Champion’s Council is delighted that Pfizer Canada has met the criteria.

Russell Williams, Chair of CHPCA’s Champion’s Council offered his congratulations to Pfizer Canada: “As one of Canada’s most recognizable names in Canada’s health sector, Pfizer Canada’s commitment to supporting its employees in this capacity will move the ball forward in terms of Corporate Canada’s support for those dealing with end-of-life care .”

More information on the Canadian Compassionate Company (CCC) designation is available on CHPCA’s website at www.chpca.net.

Founded in 2010, the Champion’s Council is comprised of a group of key leaders in Canada who have offered to advance the profile of hospice palliative care across the country, working with the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) to achieve their goal.
