At some point, it may not be possible to manage a life limiting illness, cure a serious illness, or a patient may choose not to undergo certain treatments. Hospice palliative care is specifically designed to address these types of situations.

Hospice palliative care is holistic compassionate care for the patient and their families while respecting the patient’s wishes and being mindful of their dignity. The emphasis is on prevention and relief of suffering, communication about goals of care, and the treatment of pain and other problems. In other words, the focus is on comprehensive comfort care for the patient as well as support for the family.

We provide this type of care in a specifically designed suite. Great care went into ensuring that it looks and feels like a private sanctuary. The suite has a home-like atmosphere where the walls and flooring are in warm tones, lighting is soft and adjustable, windows are curtained, and medical equipment is discreetly hidden.

Amenities include a private bathroom with shower, coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator, reclining leather sofa and sitting chairs, CD player, television with cable service, fireplace, and a direct telephone line for family and patient use.
