At HHCC, we have three private palliative rooms located on the lower level of the hospital. The newly renovated rooms are decorated to create a comfortable, home-like space for you and your family. Our program is aimed toward providing you with comfort and dignity during this stage of your life.
Palliative care is for people who are living with a life limiting illness which is in an advanced stage. Our focus is on quality of care, compassion and support for you and your family. We believe your involvement in your care is most important, so we include you, and if you wish you family on all decisions. We make pain and symptom management a top priority during your time with us.
The HHCC Palliative Care Team involves a physician and nursing team who have specialized knowledge in Palliative care. Other members of the team may include Clinical Pharmacist, Dietician, Discharge planner, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Palliative Home Care Coordinator and Chaplain Services.
