More Details

Our eight-bed, 13,500-square-foot facility is located 1.5 km north of Okotoks on an eight-acre parcel of land with beautiful mountain views.

Patient rooms are private, spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring an electric bed, private phone, closets, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, fridge and a dedicated space for personalizing the room with familiar decor and objects.

Meals are prepared on-site in our commercial kitchen at no cost to patients. In addition to our full kitchen and dining area, we have a common living room, patient spa, family room and guest suite.

Outdoors, guests will find a meditative labyrinth, a trickling waterfall, forested walking paths and a multitude of gardens.

Our professionally trained staff & volunteers provide around-the-clock end-of-life and bereavement care. Attention is paid to physical needs, expert pain & symptom management, emotional & spiritual well-being and bereavement support as patients prepare for the completion of their life’s journey.

The focus of our care is on quality of life, and we welcome patient and family input into all aspects of our program.

Foothills Country Hospice offers 24 HR nursing care consisting of Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Health Care Aides (HCA). There is always an RN on duty 24/7. The Medical Director and attending physicians are responsible for patients’ medical care, and there is a Palliative Care Specialist available on call 24/7. Our Palliative Care Specialist, attending physicians, and interdisciplinary teams meet weekly to discuss patient care plans.

We offer a variety of grief and community support programs to Foothills Community members, free of charge. Whether you have experienced the loss of a loved one or have a palliative diagnosis, we would like to walk alongside you. All community members are welcome to access our services, no prior connection to our hospice is required.
