More Details

Our Volunteer Hospice Visiting Service offers emotional and practical support to clients
living in North, Central and South Frontenac who are over the age of 18 and
have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or terminal illness.

Trained Hospice Volunteers make home visits and provide companionship, to assist with errands
or to watch over as the client rests. The program allows caregivers the time to do what needs to
be done at home or elsewhere while having the peace of mind knowing their loved one is being cared for.
Hospice Volunteers do not replace but are meant to supplement support provided by family, friends and other
professional care providers of the Palliative Care Team.

This program plays a vital role in Hospice Palliative Care, especially for those who are isolated in our community.

Our trained Hospice Volunteers provide client support at home while providing emotional support and respite to family and friend caregivers.
