The 2026–2027 CHPCA Learning Institute Program Is Now Available
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) is pleased to announce that the 2026–2027 Learning Institute Program is now available.
Featuring more than 30 virtual workshops, the Learning Institute provides practical, evidence-informed education for clinicians and interdisciplinary care providers working in hospice palliative care across Canada. Each session is designed to address current issues and emerging priorities in the sector while providing knowledge and skills that participants can immediately apply in their work.
The program is delivered entirely online, making it easier than ever to access high-quality professional development regardless of location, while reducing the time and costs associated with travel.
"The Learning Institute reflects CHPCA's ongoing commitment to strengthening hospice palliative care through education," said Cheryl Spencer, Interim CEO of the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association. "By bringing together leading experts and participants from across the country in a virtual learning environment, we're making high-quality, practical education more accessible than ever. These sessions equip professionals with current knowledge and tools they can immediately apply to improve care for patients, families, and communities."
Two Learning Series, More Than 30 Sessions
The 2026–2027 Learning Institute includes two standalone virtual series:
- Fall Learning Institute Series – 15 sessions offered from September to December 2026
- Winter Learning Institute Series – 15 sessions offered from January to April 2027
Each workshop runs for 3 to 3.5 hours and combines expert presentations, interactive discussion and activities, and practical learning opportunities.
Additional sessions may be added throughout the year as CHPCA continues to respond to emerging topics to bring the most current educational opportunities to participants.
Flexible Registration Options
Whether you're planning to attend one workshop or the full program, there is a registration option to suit your learning needs.
