Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) has an upcoming vacancy for a Consumer Member-at-Large position to be ratified at the Annual Conference on Thursday October 31, 2013 in Ottawa, Ontario.
In an effort to ensure a balanced perspective on the CHPCA Board of Directors, the CHPCA Organizational Development Committee is conducting a search for interested and qualified candidates for this position. Preference will be given to informal or family caregivers who have:
- Personal care giving experience in palliative and end-of-life care;
- previous experience on a governance board;
- been involved in consumer advocacy, specifically related to hospice palliative end-of-life care or specific disease groups.

This position will have a two year term and be ratified during the CHPCA Annual Conference in Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday October 31, 2013. Expenses related to the work of the Board of Directors are covered by the CHPCA.
After the deadline for letters of interest, all applications will be reviewed by the CHPCA Nominations Committee. Qualified applicants will be offered a telephone interview and the decision of the committee will be taken to the Board of Directors for approval.
