2026-2027 Learning Institute
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Virtual Learning Institute is a cornerstone for professional learning in hospice palliative care across Canada and a signature space for collaboration, dialogue, and skill development among clinicians, educators, researchers, and community leaders.

About the Learning Institute
The Learning Institute is CHPCA’s national professional education program, designed to strengthen workforce capacity in hospice palliative care.
Established in 2012, the Learning Institute (LI) is CHPCA’s longstanding national education program, delivered biennially to support learning and knowledge exchange in hospice palliative care. The 2026-2027 LI builds on this history, offering high-quality education in a more accessible format designed to better meet the needs of learners across the country.
Providing practical, evidence-informed education for clinicians and interdisciplinary care providers across Canada, while reducing barriers related to geography, travel, and cost, the 2026-2027 LI will be delivered as a virtual workshop series, designed to be interactive, combining presentations, discussion, and practical learning participants can apply in their work. The series will consist of a minimum of eight, 3 to 3.5-hour, standalone sessions, and reflects a renewed program designed to address evolving issues and priorities within the hospice palliative care sector.
