2026-2027 Learning Institute
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Virtual Learning Institute is a cornerstone for professional learning in hospice palliative care across Canada and a signature space for collaboration, dialogue, and skill development among clinicians, educators, researchers, and community leaders.

About the Learning Institute
The Learning Institute is CHPCA’s national professional education program, designed to strengthen workforce capacity in hospice palliative care.
Established in 2012, the Learning Institute (LI) is CHPCA’s longstanding national education program, delivered biennially to support learning and knowledge exchange in hospice palliative care. The 2026-2027 LI builds on this history, offering high-quality education in a more accessible format designed to better meet the needs of learners across the country.
Consisting of 30+ live, interactive virtual sessions, the CHPCA Learning Institute Virtual Conference is a national learning experience designed to offer more than passive online learning. Each live session brings together professionals from across Canada for expert-led education, practical learning. discussion, and opportunities to connect and share perspectives with colleagues working across hospice palliative care.
It is designed to help clinicians and interdisciplinary care providers strengthen their knowledge, build practical skills, and stay current on emerging topics in hospice palliative care, while reducing barriers related to geography, travel, and cost.
The 2026-2027 LI will be delivered in two series, Fall and Winter (15+ sessions in each series).
