Evening of Entertainment

Join us Friday evening on October 24th for dinner followed by Hope, Joy, and Resilience: An evening of Music and Storytelling with Ed & Gail Peekeekoot and Eileen McGann.

Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and story-teller, Ed Peekeekoot is a skilled and seasoned performer. He has a timeless kind of cool that has appealed to audiences of all ages for over five decades. Ed’s performances go from blazing guitar work to foot stomping fiddle and haunting Native flute – all sprinkled with his Cree humor and philosophy.

Ed is joined for this performance by his wife, Gail Peekeekoot. Music has been a constant source of joy, comfort, and inspiration in Gail’s life: singing, writing, performing, and recording. She is an RN who, for the last few years, has been supporting people at end of life by, among other things, working legally with psychedelics. Gail is also a Celebrant and is ordained as a Metaphysical minister.

Ed & Gail are very happy to be sharing the stage with their cherished friend, Juno nominee Eileen McGann who has been widely acclaimed for over four decades as one of the best contemporary Canadian songwriters, as well as one of the finest Celtic traditional singers anywhere.  Add to this Eileen’s soaring vocals, a dynamic performance style, an infectious sense of humour, insightful lyrics and a powerful ability to make songs come alive for audiences and you have an artist not to be missed. Her music full of joy, hope, and meaning has been offered in Hospice care.

Both Eileen and Ed are acclaimed visual artists.  Another source of joy and creativity!
