National Caregivers Day April 7th, 2020
Caregivers, in addition to what they are already doing, must now navigate the impact from COVID-19 as they support the vulnerable and most at-risk people in our communities. From the very beginning, Every Minute Counts was selected to reinforce the value of caregivers to Canadians and ensure they are at the forefront of our collective actions. We are all still committed to spreading this message, and we encourage you to take part, with any effort you can spare.
All content will now be available as stream-on demand so people can access them whenever they want. On April 7th, visit carerscanada.ca to watch presentations from different organizations on how they are giving their time to support caregivers. Hear from the caregivers themselves on why every minute counts.
Now more than ever, we need to keep our caregivers at the forefront of our minds and show our support. The goal of our Call-to-Action still remains the same – to activate support for caregivers through the commitment of time, big or small.
Starting March 30th, pledge your minutes at carerscanada.ca and help us add 100,000 minutes to the global caregiver time clock (hosted by Embracing CarersTM)
We are all in this together. Help us spread our message to make sure caregivers are adequately accounted for and supported, especially during this time of need.
Please visit Carers Canada to find resources that you can use to help promote and elevate this effort.
We know efforts like this only work when we promote and share in unison. Thank you for your support!
